Hello,

A really missing functionality is the partial delivery (it exists in Magento and I really hesitate between Magento and Tomatocart because of this process lack).
In fact, I will have more than one order line per orders and as items are big enough, I will have to use more than one parcel per orders. So, it's very important for me and the customer to track each parcel (and not a random one) and even know what is in the tracked parcel.
What I propose, but it's just an idea to be discussed, is to add a "Ship" button on the order edit window.
In that case, when clicking, a Shipping Edit Window with the order lines not yet delivered and the remaining quantity is opened and it allow us to enter a new shipping number, change the attributed carrier (if necessary, and addresses of this particular parcel) and enter on each line the quantity delivered for this parcel.
So, when validating this parcel (save action of the window), each remaining quantity on each order lines is updated and the delivery status of this order is updated too (complete or partial).
It is then important to have an order line status in order to get informed of the status of this line (pending, out of stock, closed/ok for example). In the same way, the order should have an order status (opened/closed), a delivery status (undelivered, partially delivered and totally delivered) and an invoice status (not invoiced, partially invoiced and totally invoiced).

I think this use case must really be considered as it is used too when dropshipping (more than one supplier per orders lead to more than one tracking number per orders) and in orders with more than one order line (out of stock for one item for example..).

We will implement the multi invoice and multi parcel delivery in later release. We have really big plan for TomatoCart and we eager to be the best online shopping solution. But it will take some time for us to grow, please be patient.

I would like to be ok for the end of this summer and would like to begin my business for september. Do you think that's functionality will be ok for this summer.

Sure Tomatocart can be one of the best, even the best of eCommerce solution but I wondering if I have to wait or if I must have a transit period with an other solution before adopting Tomatocart. Perhaps you have any Roadmap with a 2 or 3 years visibility.

This features can be finished before the end of this summer. After stable release, TomatoCart will experience big changes. These days we already start recruiting, we are going to build up a big development team out of the small one from last year.

In year 2010 we will speed up the development speed; implement a large number of features; improve architecure to meet high-end customer's requirement; improve user experience in frontend and etc.

Now we are busy with finalize stable release and improve our team architecure, so please be patient. We will publish our Roadmap soon.
