Cannot upload image for product 4 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
This feature was working fine a few days ago now images will not upload. It will show that the image name / image size is there but it wont show a preview nor is it in the thumbnail or original folders.

Heres what I mean:

Notice that there is no thumbnail preview in the left hand column. I also checked the permissions to the image folder and they are 755 but still the "uploaded" image is no where to be found! Any ideas here?

Edit:

Nevermind we fixed it, our sever blocked imagemagick to prevent the php function Exec() from running.

Code:

[23-Jun-2010 17:27:24] PHP Warning:  exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/lowact/public_html/admin/includes/classes/image.php on line 46

Code:

      if (osc_empty(CFG_APP_IMAGEMAGICK_CONVERT) || !file_exists(CFG_APP_IMAGEMAGICK_CONVERT)) {
        return $this->resizeWithGD($image, $group_id, $type);

So we just made it always resize with GD and it seems to be working again .

I also have this problem. When I upload the picture, it can't generate the thumbnail.
Besides, If I upload a big picture (~ size 4M, my php.ini setting can upload 128M size, my server is using GD library), the upload process will be failed. In additional, the upload picture function is not reliable. I have tried to upload a few pictures after I have installed this shopping cart, there is no response when I click "Add" images button. It doesn't popup a browse window for me to choose the photos from my computer. But after a few minutes, it can popup the browse window again.
I just think that the relibility of this shopping cart should be improved. Besides, I also mention that if I access the admin. backend panel with remote server, the speed is quite slow for running the java script based backend.

Hi,

I have same problem.
I see that in directory /var/www/tomatocart/mages/products/originals/
its the image. But in the others directory not.
directories: large mini product_info thumbnails

So. Copy the image in the others directory.
The ploblem is the image size in each directory. we need edit the size for each image.

It's a problem with the imagemagik php extension. If this isn't installed then it cant re-size the images as it should.

You have to install it and compile php with it.

I feel like Tomato Cart should make use of GD or at least detect when imagemagik isn't installed.

www.imagemagick.org/script/install-source.php

Then in admin control panel configuration -> configuration -> program locations then put the directory you installed imagemagick to. Example location would be /usr/bin/convert

Or if you have root control over SSH run the following three commands:

yum install ImageMagick-devel.*
updatedb
which convert

This will give you the path of the convert folder for use in the "program locations" setup.
