Hello everyone! I recently downloaded tomatocart for evaluation. I really like what I see. I have been using ablecommerce on a windows IIS7 platform for about 10 years now. I am somewhat new to working in a LINUX environment, but tools like virtualmin and webmin have made most things pretty simple. I am interested in using this software in my production enironment. I have only 1 IP address, so I will have to setup SSL on different ports. How can I accomplish this? Also, I am having trouble finding documentation. I would really like more information about setting up a product import file (CSV or XML)
To summarize, I need more info on:
1: multiple port SSL setup
2: product import
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, but I have seen both of those pages. My concern about the alternate ports is this: I will be running multiple sites selling different products. I haven't had a chance yet to modify the default port yet and I was wondering what others have done, and what problems they may have encountered.
As far as the import page, I feel that is is seriously lacking information. The page listed in the last post does not list the available fields, what is or is not allowed in the fields, what the maxlength is, and what their functions are. I am interested in converting a current production environment on a completely different platform into this solution. I have a lot of work ahead of me to complete this task. Some of my products have options, and some of those products have multiple options per product. I also have to convert all product images into this package. I am having trouble locating information about tomatocart that will help me proceed.

We are using apache as the web server instead of IIS. we don't have much experience with it. With apache you can map different port for different store.
We found with csv it is quite difficult to do complex import, therefore The product import/export does only support simply products. Better extend the import feature with XML if you want to do a complete system migration.

You haven't really answered his question.
We need more info about import fields - be it xml or csv.
There is no info on this whatsoever.
To use plain English - We need a sample CSV and xml files so we can use their structure to import files with.
This is a major reason for me not wanting to migrate to tomatocart. If i can't import products or get a decent explanation on such a simple matter, then this is not a cart for a serious shop.
Please provide us with the info we need.
Thank you in advance.
