I have reinstalled twice. Willnot log me in. Keeps redirecting me back to main login page.

If you installed it locally you have to define a real domain name like www.example.com in your hosts file (and link it to your localhost). You should define this domain in your apache virtualhost. I have also had the same problem, but reinstalling and recreating the database seemed to have sorted my issue out.

I'm gonna be crazy.

I've cancelled and reinstalled all the system 10th times with 1.0 stable and 1.0.1. Both does not log me in to the admin panel.

I've tried InnoDB or myisam as mysql database type. I've used www.buildwonders.com (a real domain name) as cookie server. The server is installed on a real hosted windows server. Result Nothing.

I've examined the passwords, file restrictions and everything.

The whole installation process is going normally. The store front is working well. Admin login page is working well. But when i try to log into admin panel, it is reloading the page without any error.

I've checked the sessions table, everytime when I click over the login button it is inserting a new entry into sessions table. It means that the system is working and interacting with my host or database. But no chance I CAN'T LOGIN to admin panel.

I tried this with IE 8 and Firefox 3.6 Both same result.

Please could someone explain me what it is, or what shall I check/control to work my admin panel. I can give the ftp account to check the files or something what you need.

Please help !!

I have the same problems.

The solution for me was put the constants (HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN and HTTPs_COOKIE_DOMAIN) with the same value.

This constants are defined in:

<INSTALL DIRECTORY>/include/configure.php:

  define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '<--DOMAIN NAME-->');

After make sure to remove all cookies. For this you can use Web Developer Addon/Extension for Firefox.

This didn't work for me, as they were already set to the same value. I am also am getting redirected to the main login page repeatedly.

I've reinstalled twice now (v. 1.0.1)

During install I received this error:

The final "step=5" occurred on each page of the install.

I am on a shared host. In the configuration that is created, I see this:

According to the error though, it doesn't seem to be using that.

I do NOT see errors in the logs when I try to log into the admin panel. As much as I'd like to use TomatoCart, obviously lack of logging in to the admin panel is bad.
