Extension Description

Multi Zone Table Rate Shipping

A simple TomatoCart table rate shipping module adaption adds multiple table rates based on zones groups.
Included are 9 shipping modules that have their own table rate set up allowing you set any price based on weight and shipping location in any country

INSTALL:
Extract files & directories and upload to you tomatocart root.

Move the z*table.xml files to includes/languages//modules/shipping
Of course you can edit these to your localised language

ZONE SET UP:
In the admin backend goto Start > Definitions > Zone Groups you can than add a zone and include any counties / states to that zone.
**See zone_groups.jpg

MODULE SET UP:
In the admin backend goto Start > Modules > Shipping and install the new Zone * Shipping modules. Make sure you set "Shipping Zone" to a zone created Zone Groups.
(the name displayed here and on the store front can be altered in the included .xml files)
**See shipping_modules.jpg

EDITING / ADDING MULTI ZONE TABLE RATES:
If you require more zones: Edit all files and replace 'z9' with 'z10' (or any unquie identifier). Save the files as the same name for .php and .xml
The original .xml is written and tested with en_GB language - you can edit this to your chosen language at will.

Ok managed to solve it, for anyone else experiencing the same problem, just go to includes/classes and replace weight.php with the latest from the github source

    https://github.com/tomatocart/TomatoCart-v1/tree/master/includes/classes

There was a bug where if the decimal symbol used for the language selected was different to what is used in English, the weight could not be calculated properly, looks like they fixed it in the github source.

Module is great and works well on the English language version of my website, have translated the XML files and added them for my Spanish language on the site, the translations are also working perfect, BUT the only problem i am having now is that when i checkout in English shipping weight for the zone is calculated and added perfect, when i do the same for the same product in Spanish the shipping weight is not calculated and all that is shown is shipping price for the minimum weight available 50g, no matter what the product weight is.

Is the same if i try the other method:

    - Remove \\\'Zone Rates\\\' modules

    - change num_zones in :
    admin/includes/modules/shipping/zones.php
    includes/modules/shipping/zones.php

    - Install \\\'Zone Rates\\\' again

In English all works perfect, but if Spanish is chosen it then shows \"La tarifa de envío no se puede determinar en este momento\" which translates to \"The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time\"

Been trying for two days to solve this now with no result, any ideas welcomed.

When you are going to buy laptop hard drive, it is extremely important to look for one that is going to be fast and large enough to accommodate all of your files and data needs. It

I Install this module but in Language Module-shipping disappear !!!! Please Help me

  • braitostees2013-04-16 12:05:13

So far I can\'t get this to work. I\'ve installed and setup per the instructions but there are problems. I add 1 (one) item to the cart and then upon logging in to check out in the cart i get this error:

Fatal error: Class \'osC_Shipping_Admin\' not found in /home/braitos/public_html/eaglesden/includes/modules/shipping/z5table.php on line 15

Refresh doesn\'t do anything to fix this, however if I click back it takes me back to the login screen and i am suddenly logged in but i have 4 (four) items in my cart now and when i go through the checkout process I can put in my billing address and click continue but following putting in my shipping address and i hit continue the button changes to a spinning icon and then goes back to the continue button.

I cannot get past this point.....

There is a way to do so without this module.

    - Remove \'Zone Rates\' modules

    - change num_zones in :
    admin/includes/modules/shipping/zones.php
    includes/modules/shipping/zones.php

    - Install \'Zone Rates\' again

Im having tons of problems with the shipping methods as well and have NEVER HAD A RESPONSE from Tomatocart. I would not recommend their product at all, TOMATOCART SUCKS!

Use magento instead, at least they support their product. I have tried for 8 months trying to get a response from these clowns and they dont give a shit.

STAY AWAY FROM TOMATOCART THEIR PRODUCT IS TERRIBLE AND FULL OF BUGS!

This module does not seem to work when installed as per instructions, seems to be little or no support to it either. Are there settings meant to be added to the php files at all to call anything in to the administrations?

  • mr.xzu2011-02-07 10:14:55

public_html is correct. The full path on my server for example:

    ftp.MYDOMAIN.com/public_html/tomatocart/includes/languages/en_GB/modules/shipping/

I am confused why you are not seeing these files. It may be an issue with permissions. Did the other .PHP files upload OK?

  • Dovid2011-02-07 02:25:46

I can\'t install it, even if I\'m using TomatoCart 1.1 According to my server, to install it I should \"most probably will have to go to public_html, then in tomatocart\'s folder, then in includes, languages, modules and when you reach the shipping folder, you can upload the files mentioned from your computer.\"

The problem is that I don\'t see these folders in the Files manager. Can you help me with that?
