Popular Search Terms

Introduction

In the Popular Search Terms module, the search terms entered by customers in the frontend are listed and can be edited by users in the backend.

Popular Search Terms

Figure 1 shows the window of Popular Search Terms under the admin>Catalog> Popular Search Terms.

Search Term:
The terms entered by customers in the search box
Search Result:
The number of search results
Popularity:
search frequency of a certain term
Synonym:
The synonym of the search term. When a customer types in a certain term in the search box, the search results only list the products with both the term and synonym in product name and product description simultaneously.
Shown in Terms:
Click green button to activate the term, and red one to deactivate it. If you click the green button, it will show in the Popular Search Terms box in the frontend as shown in Figure 2.

These search terms differ in the size due to search frequency. In other word, the more the search times, the larger the term size. Customers will get the search results after they click the term
Edit:
Click the “Edit” button to edit a search term, as shown in Figure 3.

  • Hide/Display a column
  • See the Popular Search Terms number on lower right
