Specials

Introduction

The Specials section lists the products that are considered as “Specials”. These are products (added under Catalog>Products) that currently exist in the store.

Figure 1 shows the Specials listing page under the admin>Catalog>Specials section.

  • Edit/Add specials

Figure 2 shows the Apple iPhone 3G listing page under the admin>Catalog>Specials>iPhone 3G add section.

  1. Choose a product to be on special from the Pull-Down Menu.
    Note: To edit an existing product on special, this row of Product is not editable.
  2. Set a special price for the product. This is the price that will be advertised and used when the customer orders the product. The "original" price will also be displayed with a strikethrough font, with this price displayed next to it.
    Note: The specials price should be set less than the "original" price, if not, an error window will be present.
  3. This status determines whether or not the product is displayed as specials. If the status is unchecked, the product will still be available through the store as normal, just not as specials.
  4. Start Date/Expires On describes when the special price and status will be in effect .
  5. Select "Save" to implement the action.
  • Batch Add Specials

The newly improved feature of Specials is user-friendly, allowing users to add several specials simultaneously.

Click the “Batch Add” button on the toolbar, and a window appears as shown in Figure 3.

Users are accessible to certain products after searching in terms of Manufacture, Categories, Product Name and Product Model.

For instance, when choosing Apple as Manufacturer and Ipod&Camera as Categories, users will get the target products after clicking “Search ” button as shown in Figure 4.
Click the blank field in the columns of “Special Price”, “Start Date” and “Expires On” to set the price, start date as well as expire date. Pay attention to the tips mentioned above in Edit/Add Specials.
Click the “Status ” checkbox to enable the Specials shown in frontend, otherwise disable it.
Click “delete” to delete specials.

  • Delete specials
  • Search for specials
  • Refresh the present page
  • See Specials Number in the down-right corner
