Introduction

All products in the store are listed in the Products section giving the price, quantity, and operation options for each product.

Products

Figure 1 shows the Products listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products section.

In TomatoCart, there are four product types store owners can create: Simple Product,Virtual Product, Downloadable Product and Gift Certificate. Product Data settings will differ in types.

• Simple Product
  Products of this type are generally material objects.
• Virtual Product
  Something that with no entity, like as service (E-Ticket, Hotel Reservation,etc.), game card, top-up card and etc.
• Downloadable Product
  As the name suggests, F-Prot AntiVirus, plug-in and so on are all downloadable products.
• Gift Certificate
  Gift certificates are the perfect solution when you just can't find the right gift or you're short of time. Gift Certificates make a perfect present for friends, family, and business associates.

Set a Simple Product

• Edit/Add products
  Figure 2 shows the Products Edit General listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Edit>General section.

1. Input the Product Name and Description, which are required.
2. Input the proper Tags and URL if needed.
   Note: When making a new product and setting the product name, you can set an image the product name field which will show a small image of each product in the product listing in your store.

Figure 3 shows the Products Edit Meta Info listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Edit>Meta Info section.
NOTE: Page Title, Meta Keywords and Meta Description can be entered for this product. SEO-related Meta Information is controlled from here. The Page Title will display in the browser’s title bar when this product is being viewed. Meta Keywords and Description will show in the tag of the product’s HTML source.

Figure 4 shows the Products Edit Data listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Edit>Data section.

1. Choose Simple Product as the product type.
2. The status shows the product in or out of stock which either enables or disables it in the store.
3. Select a date when the product will be available and which shall correspond with the Product Expected.
4. Input the product Model.
5. The manufacturer (added or edited under Catalog> Manufacturers) of the product.
6. Input the weight with the weight class which will be applied to freight.
7. Choose a Tax Class (added or edited under Definitions>Tax Classes) which is used to charge tax on each product.
8. The gross price is automatically set after the setting of the net price according to your tax schedule to show cost plus tax to those customers who would pay tax.
9. Choose a Price Discount Group (added or edited under Catalog>Quantity Discount Groups) for this product. Thus customers in the group are to enjoy discount while purchasing.
10. Input the quantities into the Quantity field. It corresponds with Configuration>Stock.
11. Define the minimum order quantity. As a result, for any order under the minimum order quantity made by customers in the Product Information page, the system will automatically alter it to the Min.Order Quantity in Add-To-Cart page.
12. Define the quantity increment. If it were a dozen, the product order quantity should increase by one dozen since the second purchase in one shopping cart.
13. Set a proper unit class (added or edited under Definitions>Quantity Unit Classes), to follow each of the three numbers defined above.

Figure 5 shows the Products Edit Categories listing page under the admin> Catalog> Products> Edit> Categories section.

Choose a category or categories (added or edited under Catalog> Categories) for the product.

Figure 6 shows the Products Edit Images listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Edit>Images section.

If you do not want to use the images in the local files, you could choose another method Remote File to upload the ones.

1. To add an image, click “Add”, find the right image and then upload to set images for the product in the right box. The images can be uploaded simultaneously and the uploaded images could be previewed on the left dialog box.
2. The image uploaded is followed by image title and size in the left box. It may be set to the default one which will show in the front store by clicking the “pentagram graphic tool”. And it can be removed by clicking the “delete graphic tool”.

NOTE: The Image interface of creating a new product differs from that of editing the existing one, showing as the Figure 7.
Figure 8 shows the Products Edit Variants listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products> Edit>Variants section.

1. To assign variants to the product, double click the variant group in the left dialog box and each variant in it will be listed in the right dialog box, integrated with Quantity, Net Price, Model, Status and other variants.
2. For each entry in the listing, you can determine the Quantity, Net Price, set Model and check status, products in detailed information are thus available in the store front.
3. To cancel a variant of a product, just deselect the check box of corresponding variant in the left dialog box.
   Note: Create new attributes under Catalog> Product Variants.

Figure 9 shows the Products Attributes listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Edit>Attributes section.

Select proper attributes to filter the product in the store front. To create a new attribute, go to admin>Catalog>Product Attributes.

Figure 10 shows the Products Edit XsellProducts listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Edit>XsellProducts section.

Xsell products refer to the same kind or accessories of the current product and display under the product description of the current one in the store. For example, “17 MACBOOK MB166LL/A”has “Lenovo ThinkPad X200” and “Logitech Mouse” as its Xsell Products.

1. To insert an Xsell product, choose one in the Pull-Down Menu, and then click the button of “Insert”.
2. To delete an existing Xsell product, click the "delete graphic tool" in the row.
3. Select "Submit" when completing editing.

Set a Virtual Product

The approach of creating a virtual product is similar as Simple Product.

Set a Downloadable Product

Data setting of Downloadable products differs. Refer other settings to the above passages.

Figure 11 shows the Products Add Downloadable Product Options listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Add>Downloadable Product Options section.

1. Use Browser to upload a file, which can be purchased to download in the store by customers.
2. Use Browser to upload a sample file, which is generally considered as a demo file for the Downloadable. Note that the sample file is downloadable too.
3. Define the number of times of downloads.
4. Define the number of accessible days.

Set a Gift Certificate

Data setting of Gift Certificate products differs. Refer other settings to the above passages.

Figure 12 shows the Gift Certificate Options listing page under the admin>Catalog>Products>Add>Gift Certificate Options section.

1. Choose a gift certificate type, Email Gift Certificate (GC) or Physical GC.
   The shopping process of both EGC and PGC requires the information of sender's and recipient's name, and text message. In addition to that, EGC asks for the email email address of both sender and recipient. Each Address can be set as Recipient only once in one order.
2. Choose a gift certificate amount type, Fix Amount or Open Amount.
   Only when open amount type is selected, Open Amount Min. Value and Open Amount Max. Value require a definition. If Open Amount has been set to, the price will show in the range form from the minimum value to the maximum value. For example, $100~$1000 in Figure 1 tells shoppers that they shall purchase no less than $100, and no more than $1000.
