Introduction

The Email Templates section lists general email information values for the group, such as email listing, enablement, email content, etc.

Email Templates

Figure 1 shows the Email Templates listing page under the admin>Tools> Email Templates section.

1. active_downloadable_product/active_gift_certificate
   Sent when Downloadable/Gift Certificate products have been activated.
2. admin_create_account_email
   Sent when customers have created an account successfully in the store front.
3. admin_create_order_credit_slip/admin_create_order_store_credit
   Sent when a credit slip/store credit is created.
4. admin_customer_credits_change_notification/admin_order_status_updated
   Sent when the store owner updates the store credit/order status.
5. create_account_email
   Sent for verification when the store owner creates a new account for customers.
6. new_order_created
   Sent when customers finish an order.
7. password_forgotten
   Sent when customers have applied for the “Password Forgotten” reminder in the store.
8. recovered_cart_inquiry
   Sent when customers have added products into Cart yet not check out in the end.
9. send_coupon
   Sent when store owners have created a coupon and sent it to their customers.
10. share_wishlist/tell_ a_ friend
    Sent after store visitors input email addresses of sender and recipient, and messages if any.

• Edit the email template
  Figure 2 shows the Edit Email Template listing page under the admin> Tools> Edit Email Template edit section.

   To enable the email template or not.
3. Email Title
   The title of emails sent to administrators or customers is editable here.
4. Variables
   To add something somewhere in Email Content, put the cursor in the right place, make a choice in the Variables combo box and click "Insert".
5. Email Content
   Administrators can adjust the email contents to their own need. The field "%%...%%", such as "%%downloadable_products%%" in Figure 2, is not required to change. Rather, it is automatically generated by the system. By the way, there is a list of tools available.
