Introduction

The Newsletter Manager is a system that sends emails to a targeted audience, namely the customers that have given their email address when creating an account.

Figure 1 shows the Newsletter Manager listing page under the admin>Tools>Newsletter Manager section.

You may:

• Add a newsletter
• Edit a newsletter

1. Module
   Three newsletter modules are installed by default.
   A generic email can be sent to customers. The email content is more personal and specific than that in email templates.
   The newsletter is used for sending emails to customers who have selected to receive newsletters upon creating their user account while the product notification to those who have selected to be notified of product updates.

   Size as seen in Figure 1 tells the number of characters.

• Send the mail
  Depending on the newsletter module chosen, the target audience may need to be defined before the newsletter can be sent. Just click the “Send E-Mai” button next to the edit graphic tool.

1. Send the E-Mail module
   Select among the customers as the e-mail recipients.
2. Send the Newsletter module
   All you have to do to send the newsletters is to click the “Send E-Mail” button. Recipients have chosen to receive newsletters either when registering or when checking under the My Account> My Notifications>Subscribe and unsubscribe from newsletters section in the store front.
   The total number of recipients, the title of the e-mail and its content are seen.
3. Send the Product Notification module
   Recipients have chosen to receive product notification when checking under the My Account>My Notifications>View and change my product notifications list section in the store front. The administrator only needs to select which products to be notified.
   Figure 3 shows the send Product Notifications listing page under the admin>Tools>Newsletter Manager>Product Notifications send section.

   To notify all the products, select “Global”.
   Not to notify all of them, first of all select the products, using the right/left pointer to select/discard products as the notified/unnotified and the top/up/down/bottom pointer to sort selected products in the selected product listing. And then click “OK”.

• Log
  Once a newsletter is sent, the “Edit” and “Send E-Mail” buttons are replaced by the “Log”. Figure 4 shows the Log listing page under the admin>Tools>Newsletter Manager>Log section. It tells about the e-mail addresses and dates sent.

• Delete the newsletters
• Update data in the present page by clicking "Refresh" in the tool bar.
