Desktop Setting

Introduction

In the Desktop Setting module, users can specify Modules Setting, Theme Setting, Wallpaper Setting as well as Sidebar Setting to decorate the desktop and simplify the operation at the same time.

Desktop Setting

Click the button on the lower right of the taskbar, to open the Desktop Setting window as Figure 1 shows.

Modules Setting

Click “+” to unfold the submodules under a parent module, and “-“to fold them.
Left click to check the modules you prefer to display in Autorun, Quickstart, Shortcut and Context Menu.
Autorun: once you login the admin panel, the modules checked will display their icons automatically
Quickstart: the modules checked will be added to taskbar, as shown in Figure 2.

Shortcut: the modules checked will display their icons on the desktop of the admin panel, as shown in Figure 3.

Context menu: the modules checked will display in the right click menu as shown in Figure 4.

Theme Setting

Click the Theme Setting tab to switch to its window, and choose the theme you like as shown in Figure 5.

Up till now, three themes are available: Vista Black, Vista Blue and Vista Glass. Choose one from them you prefer.
Drag the slider bar at the bottom of the page, to set the windows Transparency.

Wallpaper Setting

Figure 6 shows the Wallpaper Setting window.

Click one of the three default wallpapers to change the wallpaper for you desktop, including Blank, Blue Swirl, and Blue Psychedelic.
“How should the wallpaper be positioned?” enable you to either tile or center a wallpaper.
In addition, you may also choose a background color and a font color.

Sidebar Setting

The Sidebar in the Tomatocart admin panel is similar to that of Vista, listing the gadgets added in it with realtime information for users to refer to.Figure 7 shows the window of Sidebar Setting.

  • Configure the Sidebar
Check the “Display sidebar” under “Sidebar Setting” to display a side bar, or else hide it.
Drag the slider bar of “Sidebar Transparency” to adjust the transparency of the side bar as you like.
Click the “Background Color” to select a color for your side bar, after a “Color Picker” window pops up as shown in Figure 8.

Click Save button to implement the action, you will see the sidebar on the right of the desktop as Figure 9 shows.

You can click the split button on the left side of sidebar to fold or unfold it.
  • Add Gadgets
Click the configuration button at the top of the sidebar, a configuration window will pop up as shown in Figure 7
There are two ways to add gadgets into a sidebar:
1.Double click one gadget, which will be automatically added to the sidebar.
2.Left click one gadget and drag it in the filed of the sidebar as shown in Figure 10.

After finishing side bar configuration, click “Save” button to save the settings.

When the height of the added gadgets is higher than that can be held in the sidebar, a gadget pagination will be activated. The two highlighted buttons at the top of the pagination allow you to paginate forward or backward at ease as shown in Figure 11.

  • Delete gadgets
A close icon appears when the mouse pointer is over the gadget. Click it to remove the corresponding gadget as shown in Figure12. A “Success” window appears on the lower right, indicating a success in deleting.

  • Edit the information

Click a certain record in a gadget to open an edit window of it as shown in Figure 13.

Users can edit the information listed in the edit window at disposal and the new information will take the place of the old one after saved.
In addition, click the title bar of a certain gadget to view the information in the module.

Figure 14 shows the Customers module after the title bar of Customers gadget is clicked.
